Baby On A Budget: Ikea Sniglar changing table

Okay so I realize this changing table is very plain and it isn't something I would normally be drawn to but considering the price tag, i think it's great. It's from ikea and is $39.99. What a steal! I like that it can be dressed up. By the time you're done with it, no one would even realize how simple the changing table is. Oh how I wish I had an ikea here just so I can put this look together to really show you what I'm envisioning. But I guess this will have to do for now.

Start with this basic changing table

Black and White Damask and Black Minky Dot Contoured Changing Pad Cover
Add a chic changing pad cover

Diaper Bin 8 Piece Set - Pink and Black- CAN BE PERSONALIZED
An adorable diaper bin to put on one side of the botton shelf

Monogrammed Personalized Embroidered Baby Girl Burp Cloth Animal Print Collection
stack personilzed burp cloths like these for extra oomf

Diaper Stacker - Boutique collection in pink
hang a diaper stacker for convenience and added color

organic lavender gift set
on the opposite side of the diaper bin place a cluster of matching baby products

I really hope you can picture what I have in my mind because I just love it! Now I do think that all of these items put together would probably be overkill so you could just pick the ones most convenient for you. Another option is to paint or stain it to match the other furniture in the room.

I also searched reviews for the Sniglar changing table from Ikea and I am pleased with them. At this website it got a a 4 out of 5. Not bad for the price, eh?

All of the items are from etsy.com with the exception of the changing table and the nourish baby organics skincare items. The links are below.

  1. Adorable, especially the diaper bin. My kids are all teen and up so I have no use for these products but I LOVE looking at them! They do give me great ideas for baby showers!

  2. very cute! i love ikea! however, I was wondering if you thought of not even needing a changing table? if you are going to have a dresser in the baby's room then you probably don't even need it and can place all your adorable changing pad and everything on the top of the dresser! :)

  3. That's a really good idea. It would save money and space if you were planning on getting a dresser anyway. Thanks for the tip!
