It's Fall >>>> Life + Style + Babies pt 3

It's time for our third and final week of the It's Fall Linky party. I had so much fun participating in this link-up, especially because I have been able to see and be inspired by everyone elses great ideas. Seriously, you guys are just awesome! This week's topic is Babies (or kids or pets)!

It's Fall >>>> Babies

This Fall we have many trips planned to the zoo with our little one. We went this past summer with our friends who were visiting the states from Bolivia. It was so sweet to see Cruze light up with each exhibit but let me tell you... it was HOT. Like SUPER HOT. And I was in my first trimester aka exhausted. SO we are very very excited to go again with the weather cooling down. Also, Cruze is a bit older now so we know he'll enjoy it even more. I can't say the same for my bod with all of these pregnancy pains going on but I'm sure I can manage just fine. Anything for my babe.

I REALLY loved this post on 10 tips for a first (or second) trip to the zoo with toddlers. I'll have to remember these!

And if the weather is cool enough (like, in my dreams) Cruze will be wearing something like this. He already has the boots and so many other pieces in his closet that look very similar to this. I'm just hoping he'll get a chance to wear them before growing out of them.

For those days where we just want to be home (like this week since baby boy has come down with a cold) we will be doing activities like these.

This may not be a "fall" thing but I have been wanting to do salt dough footprints and handprints with Cruze to remember how small his feet are at this moment in time. Then, he can do some lovely finger painting to jazz them up a bit :)

And HELLO, how great is this diy?! EIGHT play dough recipes for Fall. I love it!

I'm so excited to share my love of this season with my son. Every season and day is an opportunity to make new memories but there is just something about Fall that makes it a little bit more magical.

It's Fall >>>> Life + Style + Babies pt 2

First, I would like to thank everyone who linked up last week. I loved seeing what you all posted for the Life theme. This week's theme is style. I look forward ALL YEAR LONG to this time of year mainly because of the cute clothes I get to wear. The moment the temp falls below 75 degrees you can find me in scarves and boots. No lie! Last week I wore a scarf with my outfit for dinner when Phillip asked, "do you know what the temperature is??". I quickly answered, "Yes I do. But look, ::points down:: I'm wearing shorts!". Proof that I'll take any chance I get to "Fall up" an outfit.  ;)

And since style is probably my favorite of all the topics... I am going to break it down for ya. BODY + FACE + HOME Bam! Get excited people!

Body

Scarves and sweaters and layers, oh my! I'll take it all thank you! Here are some of my inspiration outfits from the interwebs.

And you know I have to throw a styled maternity look in there. How cute is she?!

As you can see, I'm all about cozy style this Fall. Just get my body in some soft layers and put a hot chocolate ( with marshmallow obviously) in my hands and I am good to go!

Face

I don't have much for you here except for this amazing bold lip.. I'm also a fan of browns and bronzes for smoldering eyes

Home

Clothes are not the only area I'm craving layers in. Just look at these cozy rooms... Extra throws and pillows and everything done so perfectly imperfect. Yes, perfect...

I just want to curl up into that bed with that cup of tea. Don't you?

Candles are a must. Cinnamon scented candles because, ya know... It's fall.

COZY COZY is where it's at this Fall. Especially for a massively huge  pregnant gal

It's Fall >>>> Life + Style + Babies pt 1

Oh goodness you guys. It's Fall and although I live in the CRAZY hot state of Florida, I just cannot wait  to enjoy all this season has to offer!  If you know anything about me, you know that Fall is my favorite season. The food, the fashion, the outdoor activities, all of it. I'm a little obsessed. And in case you're wondering (because I know you are) we do get a bit of Fall here in Florida. Nothing like my old home state of New York but we get enough to break out the boots and pumpkin spice lattes. Trust me on this.

This week we are on the topic of "life"

I thought I'd use this part to talk about my Fall date plans. The cooler [and wayyy better] weather means more moments outside with my hubby. And what can be better than that?

1. Make Fall inspired treats together - We've already started our pumpkin treat making this season and I'm sure we'll have many more opportunities to whip up everything from pumpkin bread to pumpkin spice lattes over the next few months. Enjoy your treats outdoors if you can. We have a little lanai that we are hoping to use this season.

My favorite this year is a great, vegan pumpkin spice latte that is super easy to make. Look out for the recipe on this blog soon!

2. Pumpkin Patches - It's been so long since I've done this, probably because they are hard to find in Florida but I found a website  that has a list of them even in the South.

3. Museums - what says adults only date night more than an after hours event at a museum? I'm really looking forward to doing this soon.  may not be able to get in on the cocktails but I can definitely go for some live entertainment, great art and time to walk and talk with Phillip. Plus it's a great excuse to dress cute.

4. Farmers Market  - Am I the only person who gets SUPER excited for farmers markets? I just love them. There is a great Farmers Market that only happens during the cooler months and I just cannot wait. I love being able to get organic produce at discounted prices, the gorgeous flowers and mainly... strolling around with my man in casual clothes with a hot drink in hand. We'll be making some time to head out to the market - just the two of us.

5. Coffee Shop Dates - This is one of my very favorite things to do. It's easy, gives extra time to just talk about any and everything and it's romantic. At least in my opinion. Now that the temp is (finally) starting to lower, we are looking forward to some breezy nights enjoying eachothers company outside quaint coffee shops.

6. Bike Rides - sometimes it's hard to take part in outdoor activities when it's always so hot. We have been talking about enjoying our new community trails as soon as the temperature drops with bike rides and a stop at the local cafe. Sounds like a dream to me.

7. Teepee Time - I made this teepee for Cruze but Phillip and I have enjoyed it too! It's a great, cozy little spot and goes great with date night idea #1. Can you just imagine cuddling up in a sweet teepee with a hot cup of homemade pumpkin spice latte, pumpkin bread and reminscing over the moments that made you fall in love in the first place? It's seriously one of our favorite things to do, as cheesy at it may sound. Try it, it's fun :)

I'm sure there are plenty of other things I will think up along the way but for now, we will be making our way through this list.

What will life look like for you this Autumn?I can't wait to see all of your posts!
