Pregnancy Update: 9 weeks

We had our first ultrasound on Friday which confirmed that we are actually nine weeks along and not eight as we previously thought. It was such a magical moment to see our little one moving around in there and quite comforting to know that he or she has two arms and two legs, a strong heartbeat, and is growing in the right place! That was one of my biggest fears so far, that I would have an ectopic pregnancy but all is good.

Weight: I've gained 4 pounds... uh oh
Baby: 1.5 inches long and growing nice and healthy.
Symptoms: Where'd my sleep go?! I find myself awake at all sorts of hours throughout the night. And I'm TIRED so not a good combo y'all.
Also, nausea is coming at me hard. That's why I haven't posted anything in almost a week (oops).

I cannot believe how CRAZY in love we already are with our baby. Watching the images over the screen of our little one was unreal and made me feel a much stronger bond instantly. It's true, I have a real life baby in there and it feels amazing.

  1. dont be afraid to gain weight, its good for the baby. But also remember to keep active and do light cardio. The healthier you stay during pregnancy, the easier it is to loose the baby weight :)

  2. Trust me- I've been there more than once. I get the nausea thing. Sorry you have to go through it, but its well worth it once you hold that sweet baby.
And you deserve the award, so I was happy to have given it to you.
Congratulations again on your pregnancy- talk to you soon!

  5. Ah, nausea at 26 weeks?! I've been looking forward to the third trimester so I won't have to deal with it anymore. Oh well, whatever my baby needs.
