ReplyDeleteGender is socially constructed. Sex is biological. For example, when you dress your little girl in pink, you are conforming to gender norms in deciding how you want society to see her. In this case, a girl. When she grows up she may decide that she doesn't want to look like that anymore and represent the opposite gender. That is why they have baby themes that are gender neutral--this doesn't change the sex of your baby. I'm sorry for this, but I really hate when people try to sound politically correct by saying gender and they really mean sex. Again, Sex it biological and gender is socially constructed.
