Sneak Peek: The Nursery

.

Big things are happening in our home. BIG THINGS. This weekend my husbands mother purchased the crib we wanted (plus the organic mattress I was hoping for - double yay). We put the crib together last night and started putting the baby's things together. We still have a loooong way to go but we started it and I couldn't be more excited.

Here is a little sneak peak of what we started...

The details:

Crib - compliments of my MIL
Bedding - Petite Tresor nesting collection from my mother. The same one I wrote about here in May!
Sonogram Frame - gift from a friend from work
Piggy Bank - $7 at marshalls last week SCORE!
Lamp - compliments of brother in law
Night Stand - compliments of my living room haha. Now I need to buy a new one to replace it.

So in total we have not spent much money at all which is awesome because we have a ton of things to purchase. We are still searching for a dresser ( I wasn't crazy about the one that went with the crib) a rocking chair/glider and accesories. This is the funnest shopping list ever! EVER!

  5. Hello! I can across your blog in a google search for Petit Tresor Nesting. I am considering purchasing this bedding but don't have enough ideas for decor. By any chance did you have any more photographs of your nursery that would help? So far everything looks great :)

    1. Absolutely. I'll work on getting an updated post up. I'm not done with the nursery but I can get what I have up this week. Thanks for the comment!

  6. I have the same nursery. Did you find the bumpers hard to attach?

    1. It was hard because of the design of our crib. The wood is very thick so the ties weren't long enough. I just tied what I could and tucked in the rest. Since baby can't sleep in there with bumpers anyway, I figured it's ok for now. I love the bedding and the crib so I don't mind :)
