Thank goodness for Instagram because I feel like that's the only way I can keep up with my bloggy buddies these days. It's also a great way to document little moments.
I've been having soooo much fun with my little toddler. Toddler! I still can't get over that. But really, this is the best age yet. He's such a joy and has such a little personality. We just love it!
Last weekend was a very busy one. Along with our normal craziness we had a full day event on Saturday and on Sunday, we drove 3 hours up to my old town for a special persons wedding and drove THREE hours back home just a few hours later. I'm so glad we went but oh boy that drive is killer!
The couple got married at the very place Phillip and i wed at almost five years ago. So it was extra special for us. And of course we took pics all over the place, including the exact spot we said our vows .
The groom is a very special person to our family. We consider him to be one of our brothers. He spent many many days and nights with our fam as a teen and will always hold a very special place in our hearts. BUT he put those emotions over the top on Sunday. Before the newlyweds were introduced into the reception, everyone was wondering why on earth there were three chairs with a single rose on each one, on the dance floor. After the father-daughter dance we found out. He took the mic and invited his three mother figure up to the dance floor and one by one, danced with them to the most fitting song ever. You see, his mom passed when he was very young. And the fact that instead of focusing on the negative, he focuses on the people who HAVE been there for him, that's so amazing to me. My mom was one of the women he invited up and believe you me, there was not a dry eye in the room. During the dance he thanked her for giving him a father, brothers and a sister. Really? I have cried every day since just thinking about it. Definitely the sweetest, most touching moment of any wedding I've ever been to.
That's all for my novel ;) I just had to share ! I hope all is well with all of you!
