Date Night In >>>> with donuts

Hungry yet? I do my best to eat healthy, I really do. But sometimes, you just gotta let it all go and enjoy. It's been a rough week on us. Cruze has been up at least once every night with an awful cough which has left both Phillip and I completely exhausted throughout the day. Tuesday I spent SIX hours at the Doctor's office ( I left for 45 min to grab some lunch in between) adding to my exhaustion. To add to that, I had a follow up ultrasound scheduled for yesterday at 3:45pm. For some reason, I never thought to ask my Doctor why I needed another ultrasound so soon. I just took the script and went on my merry way. But then I stumbled on an article online that terrified me and got me thinking ( a little too much). When I finally spoke with the nurse, her answer as to why I was getting another scan terrified me even more.

I'm so relieved to say that the ultrasound was all good and baby boy is sitting cozy in his little home. I was able to breath again. Regardless, all the worrying added to my already long week. So last night we made a decision to forget about cooking dinner, cleaning, house projects, everything. We ordered take out, picked up some AMAZING donuts and chilled. We laughed over the silliest things while we chatted all night long. It felt really good to let the stress of the world go and just be "us" together and alone.

Last night was perfection and just what we needed to recharge ourselves. A little laughter and a lot of donuts, it went a loooong way.

  1. I'm sorry you had a rough week, and I hope baby boy is okay in there. It's scary when you think about all that can go wrong, don't look it up! And yes, those donuts are making me hungry!

I've had a stressful week myself, and I just can't wait for this weekend to get things off my mind and get some much needed house project(s) done. Hope you and your sweet little family have a great weekend!
