Weekend Wrap-up part 2: Brunch n Stuff

Ahhh food. Isn't that everyone's favorite part about getting together with friends and family? Maybe that's only a pregnant gals favorite part. Sunday morning we went to a local restaurant that I have never been to and whoa, the food was AH-MAZING!

It was really nice to have the fam in town this weekend. We're a pretty close family and I never in a million years thought that I would grow up, get married and move hours from them. I live 3 hours away and it can be hard at times, especially when I feel like I'm missing out on life's big moments.

It's crazy how life changes. One day I'm fighting with my brother over who gets the remote and who really left the milk out last and the next day I'm hanging out with him and his family. His family. I still can't get over that.

I love all the ways my life has changed and I am more than ready for it but, oh boy, I get the biggest lump in my throat when I think about the fact that the moments of the three of us getting in trouble together, getting eachother in trouble and making my parents crazy are over. Now, we have the privelage of watching our children fight and love eachother the way we did. Change can be a scary thing but it's a special thing when your life can change in this kind of way.

To my neice, my child and future kiddos of ours,

You have entered a fantastic thing. This family of yours may be crazy but it's your family and no one in the world can take that away from you. I hope you love the heck out of eachother and annoy the heck out of eachother too because the only people in the world who can truly get away with that will be the ones connected through the bonds of blood.
