One Month Update

 

So baby Cruze, here are your one month updates!

We had so many great moments this month and with each day, things just keep getting better. We spent this time getting to know eachother and I must say, we did a good job at that. You know who your mommy is and I know you so well. 


You were born at 8 lbs 7.6 oz and after dropping quite a bit of weight, you are now up to 10 lbs 15 oz! We just had you weighed on Monday and I was waiting to hear the number because it was so clear to your daddy and I that you grew a ton over the last week and a half. You have outgrown all of your newborn clothes. We put your last newborn outfit on you this Sunday and it looked like you were wearing shorts! They were supposed to be pants. I love this size! When I hold you I feel a solid boy in my arms and I feel like I can kiss, hug and squeeze you all I want without hurting you.

When I pick you up, you pull your legs in tightly and arch your back as you stretch. You did this a ton in all of your ultrasounds. So cute!

Did you HEAR me?! Really, I'm done.

Since you were born you have been so alert. Everyone, I mean everyone that meets you comments on that fact. When you were born, you came out WITH YOUR EYES OPEN and just stared at us. It was so amazing and since then you have not slowed down. You started giving us smirks and real smiles in your first week. Now, you smile and laugh every time you hear your fathers voice, during our early morning chats and whenever we make silly noises.

Now LOOK what you made me do!

You're holding your head up so well. When I hold you, you pull your head back to stare at my face. It's so sweet. You've also discovered your tongue last week. You stick it out and make all sorts of silly sounds. You coo and "talk" to us all the time. Gahhh! We are so proud of you and so happy to be your parents.

I sure hope you learned your lesson.

I could go on and on gushing about you but I don't think there is enough time in the day for me say (or type) it all. I just hope you know just how much we love you.

If there is one request I can ask of you it would be that you always feel safe in my arms.
