Sometimes I just stick Cruze in his playpen and turn on Baby Einstein's so I can get some much needed things done. Like, cleaning, homework, cooking etc. Most of the time though? I end up using the time to chill, to browse pinterest and Houzz, only to get annoyed at myself later for not accomplishing more in the day.
Speaking of Pinterest. Am I the only one who gets swallowed up by it? Well that answer is no. But seriously, it's like a black hole for my time.
I've been a bad blogger lately. Sorry but I'm not sorry.
Well except when I start reading other blogs and realizing how great they're doing because they actually...blog. Then I get all "why can't my blog be like that blog?". Then I throw myself a little pity party, think of some great posts and get back to NOT writing them. Ha.
We've been house hunting. There! I said it. I don't know why I've been so hush hush about it but I'm super excited! We found a house we love and are under contract but... I don't want to post pics until we have the keys in hand.... just in case.
Since we've been married we've moved 6 times. SIX! And every place we've lived in always felt like it was not ours. Not the home we wanted it to be. We've always known in the back of our heads that we wouldn't be there much longer than a few months or a year. And for that reason, we've never taken the time, energy or money needed to make it really feel like home. It's hard to get family pictures printed on to canvas, the perfect dining room table, that adorable area rug etc. when you don't know how it'll work in the next place. So yes, a place to finally settle into is very very exciting.
Tomorrow is Thursday and once upon a time, Thursday was Houzzday on this blog. I'm thinking about bringing that back since I pretty much dream of home décor non-stop these days. So meet me here tomorrow? Theme will be that of a future playroom for our little prince. If you want to get in on the action, post your own playroom inspired post and let me know! It'll be like an interchange of inspiration.
And one last thing... I've really missed my bloggy friends. I hope all is well!
If Fynn wouldn't scream her head at me for sticking her in a play pen, I would so do the same... instead I just stick her on the floor so I can blog/read/watch tv/ do whatever... usually she entertains herself which is good, because I want her to be able to do that... but I often feel like a bad mom because I'm not interacting with her at every opportunity I get. Congrats on the new house, I hope it works out and you can post pictures soon!
ReplyDeleteI've missed reading your blog!!! House hunting is sooo fun, but stressful! Are you obsessed with watching House Hunters? We may be in the same position as you...but in a different city...I can't confirm or deny anything, but we'll know for sure next week. :) Did you blog about Cruze's bday and I missed it?
