And then we argued over shoes... For the millionth time

It's not the first time it's happened this pregnancy. The great shoe debate. That's when I try to wear a pair of shoes but get stopped in my tracks by a less than thrilled husband. I'm not a flats girl by any means. I wear heels whenever I get the chance to. Imagine the struggle when I'm put on bed rest and pretty much get banned by everyone from Phillip to my doctor to my mother.

This week I was taken off bed rest. I am 39 weeks after all. RIGHTTTT?? And since last night may very well have been our last outing as a fam of 3, I wanted to dress my bump to my hearts desire. We were on our way out when Phillips eyes caught the shoes I was about to put on.

It went a little like this:

Him "you're... kidding.... Right?"
Me "kidding about what?"
Him "you are NOT wearing those shoes"
Me " ohhhh yes I am"
Him " those are way too high, please pick something else"
Me "they're NATURALIZERS! They're made for comfort"
Him "don't make me call your doctor!"

Ha! He caught me with that one. So we compromised. A low wedge boot it was and we were out the door for our family date of bookstore, Starbucks and a teensy bit of shopping. And the boots? They didn't look so bad after all. Go figure.

Happy Saturday. On Monday I will be enlisting everyone's help in my process of getting ready for baby. I hope you'll stop back in and give me your advice ;)

  1. That is cute that your husband made you change your shoes =) I guess you'll just have to rock them after a week or so.

  2. You have such awesome fashion! I finally tried to find some new clothes that'll grow with my bump today. Gosh those shoes are to die. I wore heels Valentines and about died.

  3. I can't believe you're wearing actual shoes at 39 weeks! I couldn't fit into any of my shoes by that point. You look great!
