A Day In Brooklyn

 

If you follow along on my JoyBound Apparel instagram (here) than you know that our family recently got back from a trip to my home state - New York. We had such a great time. There's just something about New York. It does something to me.

 

Our time there was spent all over the place. Long Island, Queens, Upstate, Manhattan and of course, Brooklyn. Here are some pictures from our day in the area of Brooklyn now referred to as Dumbo.

 

 

I was determined to take a picture on someone's steps.

Cruze, my mom and I. My parents are the main reason why we were even able to go. So grateful for such generous and loving parents. My kids have two of the best grandparents around!

 I even broke a few "rules" and let cruze indulge in ice cream (more than once!). If you're going to Brooklyn, I highly recommend Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory. So so good.

 Jane's Carousel on 45 main street is a must if you have kids. From their website...

 

The Carousel is located in the DUMBO section of The Brooklyn Bridge Park, on the East River, between the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges

The setting is so beautiful. Not that Cruze cares about the view but you know... Us mamas like to have something pretty to look at, right?

 Cruze DID NOT want to leave afterwards which explains his face in this picture. Despite his pout, I love this picture of Phillip trying to cheer his boy up. My heart.

 Walking back to our car. Which happened to be like a 25-30 minute walk away. It was such a beautiful day outside so we didn't mind it one bit. In fact, I'm so happy we parked in the wrong place.
