Hump Day Bump Pics: Week 31

Happy Hump Day! Here are my 31 week belly photos. I get so many mixed comments about my belly size. They range anywhere from, "You're soooo tiny!" to "Are you SURE you're not having twins?! You look like you're ready to pop!". It's funny to hear the differing views. What I normally say if someone is insisting I'm too big is that my doctor measures my belly every visit and I'm right on. I guess when it comes to belly size the line "it's all relative" is very true. Most of the time the people commenting are comparing me to how they looked when they were pregnanct or how their sister's neighbor's friend looks. Either way, I'm happy to be in this place. The fact that I can actually discuss my belly size or that I even have a pregnant belly still amazes me. Not too long ago I thought this day would never come. The idea of starting a family seemed so far away and hard to reach. So call me tiny, big or just right. The simple fact that I'm pregnant with this little life is reason enough to put a smile on my face.

I hope you're having a fabulous week!

  1. Beautiful pictures, I think you belly looks perfect! At the end of my pregnancy I remember feeling a little annoyed at peoples comments towards the size of my belly, I got things like are you having twins to you look like your going to have a 12 lbs baby!

  2. I'm 31 weeks as well and have to say, your belly is much bigger than mine. I think (hope!) I'll be your size at full term. I was really looking forward to a nice big round belly, and am bummed out that I apparently look about 5 months.

Each woman and pregnancy is different, for sure. As long as the doc/midwife and baby is happy, then let's just enjoy what we've got!

    Good luck!

  5. Seriously, when I was 9 months pregnant, in one day I had one woman say I was probably 3 months or so and another one say I looked like I was 9 months along having twins. It was then that I realized that I should completely disregard what people other than my doctor said if I was to stay sane. Also, I learned after having the baby that you just need to look to yourself and your baby when facing your weight (loss). Some women shed the pounds in no time and some keep it on for years while dieting, dieting, dieting. No one is the same so just keep your eyes on you and your baby so you stay happy. It can also give you motivation!

  6. Thanks Stephanie! Yeah it makes me laugh sometimes but hey, I'm pregnant with pregnant hormones so I've let it get to me once or twice. lol

The Garcias - "keep your eyes on you and your baby so you stay happy". I love that. Very good advice.
