According to my Iphone
When we drove past the Disney gates it was hard to ignore the weather. This was our first time taking Cruze so we wanted everything to be perfect.... including the weather. BUT, we also told ourselves that, no matter what, we would go with the flow and have a blast either way.
Our first night there, we wandered around the resort gifts shops and grounds. We had so much fun picking out possible gifts for the little one but he, on the other hand, was not so thrilled.
I was determined to get a few pics of Phillip and I. I always seem to forgot that!
Sadly, I don't have iphone pics from Magic Kingdom because I lost I noticed I didn't have my phone as we were entering the park. BUT I do have actual camera photos. I'll post them later.
Monday night was for the adults. After a long day at Magic Kingdom, my mom met us at the resort and babysat Londyn and Cruze. And then.. we went to Hollywood Studios!
SO about this next picture... THIS WAS A BIG DEAL for my bro and I. Once upon a time (about 15ish years ago) we were on vacay in Florida. We loved rides. We did all sorts of roller coasters. Then came the tower of terror. We waited on line as usual with my mom, little brother, aunt and little cousin. Emphasis should be placed on the "little". As we are entering the elevator for the ride, the suspense continues to build. The doors start to close when my brother exclaims, "WAIT WAIT, I wanna get off!" They opened the doors and let him off. They start to close the doors yet again when... I exclaim, "WAIT WAIT, I wanna get off!". They let me off too. All the while my LITTLE brother and LITTLE cousin stay on. They loved it so much they went on it a second time.
Now, we've been to Disney plenty of times since but never built the courage to make it on THE TOWER OF TERROR. This time would be different. It must be something about having a baby and a small window of freedom that gives you the extra push to go crazy. We challenged eachother. We DID IT!
I'm still traumatized.. I'm kidding. No I'm not.
I'm glad i finally did it! It only took us 15 years!
Dinner what what?! I went SO over the top CRAZY with food and sweets. I'm not even sorry.
As fun as it was to be without the babies, we missed them SOOOO much that we pretty much RAN as fast as we could to the bus thingy to get back.
The next day was a family event... DINING WITH THE CHARACTERS. My mom did this with us often when we were younger (we pretty much lived at disney - ha!)
I was so looking forward to this and it lived up to my expectations. In fact, I would give up taking him to Magic Kingdom if I had to in order to do this. We had a great brunch at the Polynesian with Lilo, Stitch, Mickey and Pluto.
And yes, Cruze was absolutely TERRIFIED. He did however, love breakfast and the part where they invited all the kids to dance in the parade with the characters. He LOVED it!
The parade!
The poor person in that Mickey suit that got punched three times by my 13 month old...
